What you will be doing:

The Stress Engineer supports the design process through mechanical integrity analysis, ensuring robust designs that meet requirements. This includes recommending design optimizations and applying Robust Engineering principles to achieve Process Excellence.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Perform Aeros/Thermal, Acoustic, and Mechanical Analysis, including model generation, boundary condition development, and calculation analysis.
  • Conduct Aeros/Thermal, Acoustic, and Structural Mechanical experiments, prepare specifications, supervise tests, and analyze results.
  • Resolve technical issues through evaluation, using expertise to interpret data and propose effective solutions.
  • Oversee technical packages, ensuring milestones are met within cost, time, and quality constraints.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, sharing knowledge across teams, and advising customers.
  • Support continuous improvement of tools, processes, and methods.
  • Manage task allocation and resource planning within the team, ensuring visibility and budget alignment.
  • Support people development and training plans.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, and analysis methodologies.
  • Experience in product integrity and certification.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
  • Knowledge of Ansys FEM suite preferred.
  • Fluent English.
